Astro 1 and Astro 2 telescopes sep by 106 deg. 1.7 x 0.7 m aperture each. Radial velocity spectrophotometer with 0.75m aperture.

9.5m sunshield diameter. Payload module and service module, 3.0m dia, hexagonal frustum to 1.6m dia.

Astrometry of 1E9 stars. uas, 100 x Hip. 4-color photom and radial vels. L2, with PLM and SVM and shield.

Launch by Soyuz-ST from CSG.

L2 Lissajous of 120000 x 340000 x 180000 km, period 180 days
