 2015-072A

The Cygnus OA-4 mission (the first Cygnus flight under the merged Orbital ATK) was the first flight with the Enhanced PCM and a service module with the ATK-Goleta circular UltraFlex arrays. Spacecraft is 6.4m long 3.0m dia. Mass is 7492 kg at launch. Cargo is 3349 kg; 3513 kg with packaging. It flew on AV-061 while Antares 230 remained under development. The PCM and SM were integrated at KSC.

OA-4 was berthed at the newly available Unity nadir port. At undocking mass was 7306 kg.

Kosmos 1026

 1978-069A

Energiya 13KS No. 2 (Kosmos-1026) was launched on 1978 Jul 2 by Soyuz-U from Baykonur. It flew a 4 day flight in a 207 x 248 km x 51.8 deg orbit, a profile identical to that of Interkosmos-6 and distinctly different from either reconnaissance missions or Soyuz test flights. Research results were not publicly announced until May 2020.

Cygnus CRS-6 (Rick Husband)

 2016-019A

Cygnus OA-6. Cargo up 3395 kg. Mass 7200 kg launch, 5866 kg docking.

Expected undocking mass 5303 (SkyWatch,HSF Els). ISS mass values were decremented by a further 2536 kg.

The Atlas cutoff came early, requiring over one minute extra burn time on the Centaur. Cygnus reached the right orbit but several hundred km downrange of the plan, requiring a different sequence of rendezvous burns. The Centaur was also deorbited outside of its target zone.

At the end of its mission OA-6 undocked and performed the SAFIRE combustion experiment. It then attempted to deploy 5 LEMUR satellites from the NanoRacks NRCSD-E. Two pairs deployed successfully but the final of three silos, containing a single cubesat, failed to open.

Zvezda

 2000-037A

The ISS Service Module, Zvezda, was delayed due to budget problems. 17KSM No. 128-01 was built by Krunichev with Russian funds. It was similar in external appearance to Mir, but with upgraded internal systems. Mass at orbit insertion is 20295 kg. At docking it will be 19170 kg.

Each of the two main engines has 3.1 kN thrust.

After docking to Zarya, the docking cone was stowed on a side wall of the transfer compartment. It was repositioned at the nadir port in June 2001.

On 2001 Jun 16, prop was 2841 kg (FGB); 764 kg (SM); 856 kg (Progress). Mass was 120470 kg.

On 2002 Oct 18, a Progress reboost was cut short by computer. Prop at that time was 4118 kg.

Expedition 6 consisted of Bowersox, Budarin (FE/Soyuz PLT) and Pettit (SO/FE).

A planned EX6 EVA by Bowersox and Budarin was postponed in December.
