It was announced that the NROL-1 launch was to a 57 deg orbit ascent trajectory; on-board engine was used to reach final orbit. Parking orbit was elliptical.
The launch vehicle was nicknamed 'Nemesis'. It probably carried an SDS communications payload. The vehicle is tentatively identified as the object labelled 90027 by independent observers, found in Dec 2004 in a 717 minute orbit.

Launch by Atlas 5 with 3 SRM, single engine Centaur and XEPF (Extra Extended Payload Fairing) 13.8m long 4.0m dia.
Used for ISRO's GAGAN technical demonstration in 2007.
