The DS-U1-IK 1 (Interkosmos-2) satellite was launched on 1969 Dec 25 by 11K63 Kosmos-2 from GTsP4 into a 200 x 1178 km x 48 deg orbit. The satellite carried an ionospheric beacon and plasma detectors.

Mass was 288 kg. Size was 2.4 x 2.3m.
