Kosmos-1320 was satellite 1 of Strela-1M octuplet no. 29. The second stage on this launch overburned somewhat, placing the satellites in a rather high orbit. However,they were still used for various communications tests over the next two years.

The fifth named Resurs F flight was 14F43 No. 48, the first of the 14F43 spacecraft to use the same serial number as one of the 17F41 missions (Kosmos-1575). 14F43 No. 48 was launched on 1989 Sep 6. It carried a secondary payload, the Cosima-2 commercial materials processing payload which was a joint project between the German private company Intospace and the German space agency DFVLR. The descent module of 14F43 No. 48 landed 105 km southwest of Aktyubinsk in NW Kazakhstan on Sep 22.
