Scisat

 2003-036A

CSA's Small Satellite Program (SSP) envisages larger missions than the SPP. SciSat 1 candidates were ACE (Atmos Chem Expt), CUVIT (UV Imaging Tel) and MODE (Middle Atmosphere Ozone, Dynamics and Energetics). ACE was selected.

Launch from VAFB on Peg XL in May 2003. Built by Bristol Aerospace/Winnipeg (later Magellan Aerospace). The mission will study the Arctic ozone layer.
