Kounotori 3 gouki (Stork unit 3,

was the first HTV to use IHI's HBT-5 and HBT-1 thrusters instead of the Aerojet R-4D and R-1E. It also has the first use of the EP-MP Multipurpose-type exposed pallet (Tomokuteki bakuro paretto-gata,\uni{ 多目的曝露パレット型 }{ }
)The HTV has a Pressurized Logistics Carrier (hokyu kyaria yoatsu-bu,

) and an Exposed Pallet (baruko paretto,\uni{ 曝露パレット)}{ }
The SCAN Testbad will be installed on ELC-3 Site 3. MCE will go to JEM-EF EFU-8.
The H-IIB LV will perform a controlled second stage reentry test.
The J-SSOD deployers will be placed on the MPEP (Multi Purpose Experiment Platform), a plate that fits on the end of the JEM RMS. The RMS grapples the MPEP and positions it, then the J-SSODs eject their cubesats.
