ORSSat-1 is part of the Operationally Responsive Space program, based at Kirtland AFB. ORSSats are operational spacecraft prototypes, while the TacSats are research and development vehicles [281].
SNC SDTW/Kirtland Responsive Space Squadron mission. Built by Goodrich Corp. ISR Systems Div, Danbury, Conn; launch by Minotaur. Bus by ATK (former Swales?) using Tacsat 3 derived ATK-A200 bus (later redesignated RapidStar-2) with added propulsion module. Will support US Central Command intelligence requirements.
Goodrich/Danbury is former Electro Optical Systems - former Hughes Danbury?
