Alcatel Spacebus 4000C3, multimedia and telecom for AOR. Launch mass 4974 kg (or 5393 kg according to NK web site), it was the first SB4000 to be launched. It was to be called Worldsat 2 until shortly before launch; 18 transponders were purchased for Star One/Brasil operations) as Star One C12, while 24 transponders will be used for African comms by SES as Astra 4A.
Launch vehicle was Proton-M No. 535-09 with Briz-M 14S42 S/N 88511. To replace Satcom C1; Checkout at 67.5W.
In March 2007 the satellite was transferred to SES New Skies and renamed NSS 10.
