SVN 40 was launched in Jul 1996 to replace an older satellite. It was given the ID PRN 10 and placed in slot E3. It was retired in 2015 to be replaced by SVN 72.

STS-117 delivers the S3/S4 truss to the Station. Launch mass is 122515 kg, landing mass 90272 kg. NC2 mass is 115842 kg. Cargo MD to ISS 579 kg plus 799 kg consumables, ISS to MD 693 kg. Deployed 16506 kg. (16183 kg quoted for S3/S4, leaving 323 kg instead of 579 kg expected)

EMU 3010 (EV1 Reilly) and 3004 (EV2 Olivas) on Atlantis, with helmets 1072 and 1068; transfer to ISS, then return.

EMU 3018 for EV3 Forrester, EMU 3006 for EV4 Swanson (aboard ISS) EMU 3008 also on ISS, unused. SAFER 1005 and 1006 to be used; 1003 on ISS out of cert.
