Study solar flares from EUV to gamma,550 x 550 x 82.5 in end 2007 10' pointing 1ms timing

Spacecraft had factory number 138 5351 535I.

The science data system was activated on Feb 17, but in July the satellite began suffering power supply problems. After a battery failure on Dec 1, science operations with the satellites came to an end and contact was lost on Dec 11.

  • SphinX Poland 0.5-15 keV, 10 ms; solar full disk

  • PHOKA MEPHI vis, FUV and XUV La,vis etc.

  • TESIS FeXIX , HeII, WF XUV, Mg XII, XUV spectral channels; solar full disk (FIAN)

  • Electron-M Particle detector, e, p, He (MGU)

French DGA military comsat with SHF transponders. Alcatel Alenia Spacebus 4000B3 for DGA. (3000B3? 3100?) Located at 47E. Managed by SPOTI department of DGA.

Launch mass 3725 kg, 1644 kg dry. Size 3.9 x 2.3 x 2.3 m, span 30m.

Ariane flight V168 with L524. Uses an 1194H adapter and a medium PLF. EPS in orbit is 3057 kg.
