Kosmos 80

 1965-070A

After the Kosmos-71 to 75 quintet placed in 500 km orbits, the 65S3 launched a second quintet into a much higher 1400 km orbit. The second stage and quintet payload entered an elliptical orbit with a low perigee and a 1500 km apogee a few minutes after launch, and coasted to apogee. At apogee, the engine restarted for a short burn which circularized the orbit, and the five Strela-1 satellites were ejected.
