Discoverer 19

 1960-019

CORONA 19 was a radiometric mission for the MIDAS program. The RM-1 flight was launched on 1960 Dec 20 by Thor Agena B from Vandenberg. Instead of a capsule, it carried an IR scanner, a microwave scanner, and a multiwavelength scanner. The control gas leaked during the Agena burn and the satellite could not be stabilized, but the data was reportedly still usable. Mass of CORONA 19 was 946 kg on orbit.
