Asiasat 4 has C and Ku transponders to replace Asiasat 1 and to provide DTH broadcast to East Asia, Australia and Hong Kong.

Boeing 601HP at 122E. Launch by Atlas 3B AC-205 with 14' fairing.

4042 kg launch, 2275 kg BOL. Guess of 1900 kg dry? The satelltie carries an improved XIPS engine.

5.8 x 3.4 x 3.5m with 26.2m span.

In 2018 it was sold by China Great Wall to SUPARCO as Paksat Multi Mission Satellite, Paksat-MM1.
