The Aeros 2 satellite (Aeros B to NASA prior to launch) was DFVLR's second atmospheric study satellite. It was launched in Jul 1974 to carry on the work done by Aeros A, and operated until its reentry in Sep 1975. Mass was 127 kg.
AEROS-B is under the aegis of the BMFT. The satellite is built by GfW (Gesellschaft fur Weltraumforschung mbh).
