1966-025A
OV1-4 was launched with OV1-5 on the nose of an Atlas D. It carried life sciences experiments for Aerospace Medical Div. at Brooks AFB. A side mounted OAR Pod A-302 was carried as OPS 1049.
For each of OV1-4/5, the Atlas retained pod structure was 0.32m long 1.67m wide and 0.76m deep with a mass of 333 kg. The OV1 satellite was 1.39m long 0.69m dia with a mass of 87 kg, and a 2.05m long 0.72m dia PM of 354 kg mass.

OV1-5 was launched in Mar 1966; it carried experiments to develop surveillance technology. The spacecraft was also called BORE (Background Optical Radiation Experiment) and studied IR remote sensing technology. The OV1-5 propulsion module ignited two minutes after OV1-4 orbit insertion, presumably to allow a single control center to monitor both launches.
OV1-5 satellite mass was 114 kg.
