1964-031A
The second pair of twins was launched five months after the first. Both satellites were deployed successfully. The AFCRL list quotes a cosmic ray emulsion pack as being recovered from "18 Jun 64 1964-31A", but this is almost certainly an error and should refer to the next day's CORONA flight "19 Jun 64 1964-32A". The Vandenberg launch report includes no reference to a capsule recovery and NRO documents confirm a dual metsat payload was carried. The Vandenberg launch report quotes an actual inclination of 100.6 deg, while subsequent orbital data shows the true value to be 99.8 deg, much closer to the planned value - the 100.6 figure is probably a typo.
