The AUOS-Z-AP-IK satellite was launched on 1991 Dec 18 by Tsiklon-3 from Plesetsk. The satellite was named Interkosmos-25 on reaching orbit, and was also known as Apeks ( Ape ks), an acronym for Active Plasma Experiments (APEX in English sources). The satellite had a mass of 1266 kg and carried a plasma generator and a Magion subsatellite. Span was 23m.
