joeyj66: at the cafe del sol,trying to win julie farrell’s heart.
allihunt: you’d have better luck with the twins,and you know it! see any of the old crowd there?
joeyj66: just alex nunez with some new girl on her arm. caitlin was gonna show but she cancelled. oh,and spinner,putting the moves on your bestie.
allihunt: caitlin’s been under the weather lately.
joeyj66: sorry to hear that. she’s one of the good ones.
allihunt: i saw ellie this morning at the library. she looked out of it so i asked her what was what. she was dating some guy called clutch and apparently he wasn’t as interested in her as she thought.
joeyj66: that’d probably be clutch barnett. he went to van nuys high and founded their wrestling team. graduated two yrs before we did.
allihunt: you know this how?
joeyj66: snake was his neighbor growing up. clutch tried to beat his brother up after he found out he was gay. glen beat him fair and square. i think he even knocked out some teeth.
allihunt: wow. sure beats everything i’ve heard about him. i miss the days when she was with wheels,hows he these days?
joeyj66: living with his aunt in huntington beach,getting his life together.
allihunt: awww. i miss him.
joeyj66: i’ll be sure to pass that on.
littlemissspike: i can tell you a little more about how hes doing. hes a ta at huntington beach high now.
allihunt: only a year after we graduated? that doesn’t track.
joeyj66: hes a teachers assistant,allison,not a teacher. there’s a difference.
allihunt: still,that’s pretty nice for someone our age. do you know the subject,spike?
littlemissspike: english.
joeyj66: not surprising ‘cause that was always his second best subject after music.
littlemissspike: also,he’s going out with annie martin,remember her?
allihunt: the style queen of malibu high? im not likely to forget her anytime soon.
joeyj66: meh,i’d trust any of kathleen’s friends as far as i could throw ‘em.
allihunt: hey! that includes melanie,mia,paige,diana,teresa,and even yours truly! all of whom you’ve shown an interest in at some point or other! you need to grow up,joey.
littlemissspike: yeah!
joeyj66: sorry,girls,but i’ve not xactly had the best time around her. but in the interest of civility,what’s she up to these days?
littlemissspike: she’s at uc riverside now,studying history.
joeyj66: so,still a nerd then.
allihunt: yes,she always was,joey.
joeyj66: eh,not all of us can be jocks.
littlemissspike: agreed.
