Start-1

 1993-014A

The test launch of Start carried an EKA test satellite for the Moscow Institute for Thermal Technology, in collaboration with the IVK Group holding company. The satellite had a mass of 260 kg.

The post-boost propulsion system is on the forward end of the fourth stage, but remains attached to it. The post-boost stage uses a solid propellant gas generator.
