Zenit-2 No. 36 was launched on 1966 Jan 7. The flight seemed normal, with recovery after 8 days, but V. Agapov reported in 1996 that the wrong orbit was reached due to control system malfunctions in the second and third stages of the 8A92 launch vehicle. The apogee was about 70-80 km higher than the majority of Zenit-2 flights. The automatic photography program was not completed.
