Kosmos-2326 was launched in Dec 1995 on the 100th flight of the 11K69 vehicle. In addition to the main electronic intelligence system it carried a special scientific payload, the Konus A. Konus A, developed by PO Arsenal and the Ioffe Institute (FTI) in Sankt-Peterburg, continued Russia's study of cosmic gamma ray bursts (earlier Konus experiments were carried on Venera probes and on Granat).
