The SeaLaunch Zenit-3/Blok DM-SL was be launched from 0 N 154 W on its first mission. Stage 1 will impact 147W 0N, Stage 2 at 111W 0N.

Stage 1 is 33m long 3.9m dia. The RD-171 had four thrust chambers with 739 kNs thrust. Stage 2 is 10.4m long, with a single chamber RD-120 with 94 kN thrust and an RD-8 vernier with 8kN thrust, all LOX/kero. The DM-SL is 5.6m long 3.7m dia with an 8.0kN 11D58M engine.

The demo launch in 1999 Mar will use an inert pathfinder payload representing an HS-702. The square truss with four mass booms eproduces the dynamic properties of Galaxy 11. The payload was built at Boeing/Kent and has a mass of 4700 kg.
