The Orbcomm Capabilities Demonstration Satellite (CDS), designated OXP-1, was launched on 1993 Feb 9. The 15 kg satellite was a 1/3 scale pathfinder for the Microstar bus used for the full scale Orbcomm vehicles. It was not announced until the day after launch.
