KazSat 1

 2006-022A

There is some confusion over the launch mass of Kazsat. 1725 kg according to Tsenki; 1380 kg according to other sources; 1092 kg according to Federal Space Agency brochure and Novosti Kosmonavtiki magazine.

KazSat built by Krunichev as article 78KS for launch by Proton-M with GPKS and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Ground station and control center at Alakol, 100 km from Astana. Originally intended as a secondary payload, after delays with the primary one KazSat was launched on its own.
