Telenor Satellite Broadcasting's Thor 6 will go to 1W. The satellite is a Thales Alenia Space Spacebus 4000B2 and will replace Thor 3.
Launch by Ariane. Mass 3049 kg launch. 2.8 x 1.8 x 2.3, with 29.6m span.
Thor 3 will remain at 1W untile mid 2010. Thor 6 entered service in Dec 2009.
Intelsat obtained 10 transponders on Thor 6, which it marketed as Intelsat 1W, proving cable ant DTH video in Europe.
