In 2006, this satellite was known as ABS-1 and operated for Asia Broadcast Satellite Ltd of Hong Kong at 75E. It was purchased from LMI in Sep 2006. In 2014 ABS-1 was to be replaced by ABS-2 and moved to the 159E slot,where it would be renamed ABS-6.
