Launch by Proton in 2000. Later renamed AAP-1 and then, after GE was purchased by SES, Worldsat-1 (WS-1). Worldsat was merged back in to SES Americom in Feb 2005, with the spacecraft remaining in service at 108E for the time being. It was then renamed NSS-11.

Americom Asia Pacific used the satellite as AAP-1. AAP is a joint venture between GE Americom and LMGT. The satellite was owned and operated on-orbit by GE Capital Satellites (Gibraltar) Ltd. and initially registered with the UN by both the US and the UK. The UK later retracted its filing as the craft's production and launch were procured by GE Americom.
