Vostok 4 (Golden Eagle)

  1962-037A

Vostok-3A No. 6 (3KA No. 6) was launched a day after No. 5, and given the name Vostok-4. Pilot was Maior. Pavel R. Popovich. Vostok-4 flew past Vostok-3 on the first orbit at a distance of about 6 km; however, strictly this was not a rendezvous, as the relative speeds of the craft were high and they had no on-board maneuvring engines.
