The final 3KA craft was Vostok-3A No. 8. It repeated the Vostok-4 (3KA No. 6) mission, but with an important propaganda difference: the pilot was Mladshiy Lt. Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space. After a three day flight, Tereshkova landed at 53 16 18 N 80 27 34 E, 630 km northeast of Karaganda.
