OSO 3

OSO E was launched at 1612 on 1967 Mar 8 by a Delta C and reached a 95.5 min, 534 x 564 km x 32.9 deg orbit at 1624, becoming Orbiting Solar Observatory 3. It operated continuously until 1968 Jun 28 and in real time thereafter. It reentered on 1982 Apr 4. It successfully observed solar X-rays and galactic gamma rays.
