The fourth Orbiting Solar Observatory satellite carried an improved set of experiments including an early celestial x-ray astronomy experiment. Launch was at 1558 on 1967 Oct 18 by Delta from Cape Canaveral. It reached a 95.6 min, 546 x 560 km x 33.0 deg orbit at 1610. OSO IV operated until 1972 Feb; it was reactivated in 1974.
