Corona 103

 1965-102A

KH-4A Mission 1027 (CORONA 103) was launched on 1965 Dec 9 by TAT Agena D from Vandenberg. The vehicle carried camera system JX-27, the modified MURAL M-27 upgraded to a J-1. Both SRVs were recovered but each mission lasted a single day because of attitude control problems on the Agena. Control gas was exhausted on rev 15, with the photo mission terminated at that point. It had the last few pan frames of 1027-1 and the stellar index material for mission 1027-2. 20 of 46 targets observed by mission 1027 were judged to be good. Data on the USSR, Africa and South America was obtained.
