KH-4B Mission 1102 was launched on 1967 Dec 9 by Thorad Agena D from Vandenberg. It was the second KH-4B test flight. Some image smearing affected the forward camera, but the data was still better than previous flights. Some SO-230 emulsion film was used towards the end of Mission 1102-2, and showed little difference in product quality. The 'through exposure test' was repeated, a Bi-spectral test used a Wratten 25 red filter and SF05 green filter for 8 passes for limited color imagery, and a polarized coating was used for 8 passes.

This flight is notable for the large number of orbital height adjustments compared to earlier missions. Nine of the 12 rockets were fired during the active mission and two more after the second recovery. However, the times of the DMU burns in the PER seem to disagree by about a day with the observed orbital changes in the archived elements.
