1991-084A
France Telecom's Telecom 2 series used the Matra/BAe Eurostar 2000 bus. The 2200 kg satellite carried 10 C-band transponders for communications with the Departements et Terretoires d'outremer (the overseas parts of the French Republic), 11 Ku-band transponders for business communications, and 5 X-band transponders for the Syracuse military system. By 1995 Telecom 2A was mostly dedicated to military communications.
