1992-010B
The Arabsat 1C satellite was launched to replace the aging 1A and 1B spacecraft, which were retired the same year. Launch mass was 1310 kg, dry mass 600 kg, BOL mass 785 kg. Size is 2.26m high x 1.6 x 1.5m dia, 20.7m span. It was launched inside the Spelda adapter.
In late 1997 Arabsat 1C was sold to ISRO and became INSAT-2DT (or INSAT-2R). The satellite was retired in Sep 2004.
Astrium claims Arabsat 1C has an S400 engine instead of the R-4D .
