Galaxy 3C

The PAS-9 satellite, an HS-702 model, was renamed Galaxy 3C in 1998 following the Galaxy 4 and 7 control processor failures, and reassigned from Asian service to domestic US service. It will replace Galaxy 3R at 95W. Due 2002 by Zenit 3SL

Launch mass 4850 kg. BOL mass 2835 kg. Span 47.8m; extra panels replace the solar concentrators used on earlier HS-702 satellites.
