The GPS Block IIF satellites are to replace the Block IIR. Block IIF has a civilian L5 channel. [249] The initial contract was for 6 satellites from Rockwell/Seal Beach; manufacturing was transferred to Boeing/El Segundo in 2001.
Boeing/ES satellite. Mass 1630 kg launch (MOB). Size 2.5 x 2.0 x 1.8m +box + 2 panels. IIF solar array deplyed 7.8m each; estimate 18m span.
Launch by EELV in 2008.
