YG-8 was built by the Aerospace Shanghai Technical Institute of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. The optical imaging payload was from the Changchun Light Tech Institute.
The XW-1 satellite was carried as a piggyback payload.

Zhongguo yaogan weixing ba hao Launch by changzheng sihao bing.
In May 2015 the perigee was raised by 4 km. This may have been a retirement manuever.
