MS-04 carried 2442 kg of cargo including 710 kg prop, 420 kg water, 52 kg O2, 1260 kg dry cargo. Launch mass was 7285 kg.
The stage 3 engine failed in some way, possibly due to a turbopump fire, and the third stage disintegrated. The Progress then prematurely separated from the third stage debris, but the stage then hit the Progress twice. The debris of stage and payload fell to Earth in the Tuva republic.
