First new exploration initiative mission. Bus from GSFC MOC control center at GSFC (EOS). 50 km polar orbiter with mapping and radiation studies. EELV 1706 kg full 809 kg dry. Box + 1 panel.

Mass 1916 kg (PK) at launch, 1018 kg dry with 898 kg prop. Size 3.9m x 2.6 x 2.8m stowed, plus 4.3 x 3.2m solar array and 2.6m HGA; span is around 6.0m.

  • CRATER Cosmic Ray telescope for the Effects of Radiation; with tissue equivalent plastic dosimeters (BU/Spence)
