Astra 1E

Astra 1E was launched by Ariane 42L (V79) from Kourou on 1995 Oct 19. It is the first all-digital TV broadcasting spacecraft in the SES Astra fleet. It will be stationed at 19.2E. Mass of the HS-601 satellite is 3010 kg launch, 1803 kg BOL, 1343 kg dry, with a 3.4 x 2.8 x 4.5 m bus, 7.4 m high and 26.2 m span when deployed. 

In mid 2007 it was planned to replace Astra 1E with Astra 1L and move 1E to 23.5E for direct broadcast television services.
